This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as beauticians to provide a range of beauty services including nails, waxing, lash and brow, and basic make-up services.

These individuals possess a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs. This includes client consultation on beauty products and services.

Work is typically conducted in beauty, waxing, brow and nail salons.

You will learn a core set of skills including lash and brow services, how to design and apply make-up, manicure and pedicure services and providing salon services to clients. You’ll be guided by our expert teaching team who maintain strong industry connections.

This program can be undertaken through the following payment arrangements;
* Fee for service
* Certificate 3 Guarantee (Queensland Government funded)

Please note, eligibility criteria applies for all Queensland Government funded programs.

Co-Contribution Fees for Certificate 3 Guarantee Program eligible students are as follows:
Concessional $37.66 per unit; Non-concessional $167.00 per unit

This qualification reflects the role of barbers who use a range of well-developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of barbering services to clients. They use discretion and judgement to provide client services and take responsibility for the outcomes of their own work.

This qualification provides a pathway to work as a barber in any industry environment, usually a barber shop or salon.

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

This unit of competency may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).

Specific licensing/regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities
